The Year In Review

As we come to the end of another year, how perfect was your year?

One of the ways we all learn is to review our past and take not of what went well, what didn’t, and, most important, celebrate our surprise successes.

Taking this time now will help you make decisions about what you need to start, stop and continue for next year - especially if you want different results.

I also know that reviews are not everyone's favorite activity or you just won't take the time, so here is an easy step by step guide to your Year in Review from one of my favorite coaches, Beverly Hamilton. It can take you 5 minutes or 5 hours. My challenge to you is take at least 5 minutes. Make a cup of coffee, get comfy on your sofa or do it in the bath - just make and take the time.

1. What are the 5 things you have achieved this year that you are MOST proud of?

2. What positively contributed to your achievement of those 5 things?

3. What have you personally done that you feel has contributed to how your year has been?

4. What have you learnt during this year that has made/will make a positive impact on your business and/or your life?

5. What had you planned to achieve this year that just hasn't happened?

If you want to take this review to the level of Leader, here are 3 supplemental questions:

1. What did you achieve that you didn't expect/plan to?

2. How did that come about?

3. What got in the way of you having the year you'd anticipated?

If you enjoy the tips on this blog, please let your friends know about it. I’m on a mission to help 500 Leaders through this blog. You can help me help them!
