When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it." -The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

This quote is from one of my very favorite books and is the inspiration for the name of my coaching practice. Though I've had this quote memorized for quite some time, I've had difficulty believing that it actually applied to me. Until today. Today, I got a gift, an invitation, that could only be possible if all the universe was conspiring to make it so.

As you know by reading my blog, I've reached a point of frustration that almost shut me down. "What's the use?" "This will never work." "Who do you think you are?" Yep, the demons were starting to make some headway. The only thing I did differently this time as opposed to all the other times they came knocking on my door was that I kept taking small steps that I thought might take me where I wanted to go. Now don't get me wrong. I still invited the nasty creatures into my house and offered them a chair so they would be there as soon as I got back. But I kept showing up, kept asking, kept making contacts inspite of all of their racket.

And guess what? Today, someone I would really like to work with who lives an ocean away, who is only hosting one public workshop this year and it is in England, who isn't taking on new mentors right now, who has never met me, yadda yadda yadda....replied to inquiry for help with an invitation to a private three-day gathering he will be leading in North America in September. All I have to do is get myself there. Wow. I am blinded by gratitude. And the demons packed up and moved on. They cannot thrive on gratitude.

So, my question to you is this: what one thing do you want most in this world? What little tiny steps can you take toward getting it? I suggest you start taking them inspite of the advice and head-chatter you might get to the contrary. Wouldn't it be great if all the universe was conspiring behind the scenes just for you?

Find something extraordinary in today!

Love,

Sarah
